Let's unpack this a bit. DTF or Direct To Film printing works better on a wider range of fabrics, colors and material types than DTG. The reason for this is the DTG printing process is limited to 100% cotton and cotton blend fabrics. This is due to the direct application of a very thin ink deposit that is applied by the DTG printing system. The DTF system applies a more opaque white and can handle very intricate designs and maintain color accuracy. While DTG printing is still offered in many shops it will continue to struggle with small details, brightness and opacity. So we believe that DTF or Direct To Film is the better system.

Digitizing is the process of re-drawing a logo or piece of art so it can be drawn with thread on modern embroidery equipment. The process of digitizing allows your design to be embroidered by automated machines more accurately and more affordably than before.

The cost of digitization is based on the number of stitches in the logo. Typically the larger the logo the more the stitches. A typical left chest or hat logo will have a stitch count of 7,000-10,000 stitches and will cost $40-$70 for most designs. That being said, if you have large logo you need on t-shirts, screen printing is the way to go.

Screen printing, also called silk screening, is a process by which a screen and a stencil is used to transfer a design to a t-shirt. The stencil on the screen has the logo on which allows ink to pass through specific areas of the screen. The ink that is allowed to pass through the screen creates the logo on the t-shirt or other item.

The setup charges are typically a one time charge to set up the screens for your job. If you reorder the same design there will not be a screen setup charge. These charges are $10 per screen / color and 12 pieces per imprinted color.
